Pennywise Harley Sportster 48 — Custom Motorcycle Tank Paint
This one’s Stuart’s — a Harley-Davidson Sportster 48 out on the Isle of Man.
And the last tank that left the old workshop before X-Paint packed up and moved into the new home at Creed Gallery, Camberley.
The brief was Pennywise, straight off IT — a full character portrait worked in airbrush across the tank, balloons drifting down into a blood-red stripe, the number 48 sitting up top in red script. Stuart’s bike already breathes fire — built to shoot flame out the exhaust — so painting something that looks like it crawled out of a storm drain felt about right.
Stuart’s not one for photography, so what’s here for now is a handful of shots taken on the bike and a batch more on the workbench back in the old yard, before everything got boxed up for the move. A proper shoot is booked in for next time we are back on the Island — for now, this is enough to give you the idea.
