ISLE OF MAN TT
X-Paint calls the Isle of Man home, so it is only natural that we paint Helmets for the TT.
Local racer Matt Mylchreest is the perfect customer….. almost! Matt approached us before the 2022 Isle of Man TT. He gave us a brand new Arai RX-7, a budget and a completely freehand to come up with an eye catching design.
He then told us that we had eight days until scruteneering started for the 2022 races, he would need the helmet back fully painted and dry in order to race.
No pressure then! As we said at the start Matt was almost the perfect customer!
We quickly got to work, as usual we went over board on the design as we had a completely freehand and then we decided to airbrush all of the logo’s just to add to the pressure.
OF COURSE WE HIT THE DEADLINE
There was at least one fourteen hour day but we didn’t mind. When we make a promise we stick to it.
IF we say yes then the job will be ready and done for the deadline. If we can’t meet a deadline then we won’t take a job on. As ex-racers we understand the importance of having your kit ready when you need it!
Prices start from £250 for a basic design. Up to £450 for a complex “race” design and anywhere from £500 to infinity for a full blown piece of art.

MATT WAS PRETTY PLEASED WITH THE JOB AND SO WERE WE. MATT TURNS OUT AN EXCELLENT MOTORCYCLE FOR THE RACE, BOTH BIKE AND RIDER LOOK GREAT, WE ENJOYED PLAYING A SMALL PART IN THE OVERALL LOOK.
Matt went on to finish 25th in the super twins race which we think is pretty impressive. Matt was the first Suzuki SV 650 past the flag, it’s a great bike but not a popular choice in the class. We went out to watch Matt and he was onnnn it! The Suzuki was absolutely full gas as it flew past us.
