arai sk6 On Sale

 ‘X-Paint recently completed this design on a ued Arai Sk6, we didn’t supply this helmet but we do have the SK6 on sale.

Another race school instructor at Silverstone was recommended to use X-Paint and came to us with a collection of ideas, a list of colours and request for a name on the helmet. He then gave us a relatively freehand to create something based on his preferences.

We started with a very light flat blue base coat, it is not a neon so will never suffer from UV fade, we think it is a striking colour. We included a lot of pin striping, overlays and fades on this design.

Everything on the helmet is either painted or airbrushed we don’t use any decals in our paintwork, we stick to old school custom paint techniques. So there was a fair bit of masking involved in this design

As with all our designs we focussed on this job from start to finish, we don’t run a production line each helmet takes up 100% of our focus for the duration of the work required.
