‘Christmas Leftovers Have Hardly Had A Chance to Cool!’

 And the lads are already loading the Kawasaki 400 in the back of Dan’s trusty VW T4 and heading off to sunny Spain. Meanwhile team manager Paul at Dunsley Heat Racing is busy putting the R7 together. And I am on the not so sunny Isle of Man trying to get updates for the news page!

We do have quite a lot going on already with the helmet paint and artwork, the helmet is going to be a big part of Ruben’s image in 2026 and we think that we have a very clever idea which we will reveal soon. Currently we are debating colours, fonts  and logo’s as we have two very different styles put together and we are struggling to choose between the two!

Yamaha R7:

Dunsley Heat Racing decided to go with the Yamaha R7 for 2026 and we think that was a good call. It is a proven machine and we believe it will be running at the front next year. The new Suzuki looks very quick and has a hell of a lot of torque in all the right places and the Kawasaki is a proven race winner, but the Yamaha seemed to be the most logical choice for the teams first year in the class.

However it is not as simple as picking a bike and going racing, there is a rear wheel mod required, race pipes, rearsets, suspension, the list is endless and very expensive. Thankfully race team manager Paul knows what he is doing and has the job in hand. Check out the gallery and see how many modifications you can spot.
