‘when grant told me he was doing the Manx and wanted to trick the lid up a bit, i knew i had to clutch my pearls’

So I went straight to the back of the paint cabinet, dug out some expensive tins and started mixing. The colour combo is nothing wild but it just works well and as much as Grants original lid stood out from the crowd, this one really plays to the camera, it is very photogenic. Apart from the addition of some trick colours everything that can be said about the design has already been said when I did the first one, so check that post out for the back story.

Grant Thomson – Manx Grand Prix 2025 Highlights

Grant Thomson, an up-and-coming rider from the Isle of Man, delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Manx Grand Prix. Racing across multiple classes on the famous Mountain Course, he showed grit, pace, and maturity — all the hallmarks of a rider on the rise.

Race Results:

• Saturday Race: Finished 10th overall

• Monday Senior Race (Kawasaki Z650): Placed 9th

• Fastest lap: 113.04mph in the Supersport class

• Total time: 1:00:42.352
