This page explains how helmet paintwork is structured at X-Paint and what to expect from each level of work.
All projects are bespoke and quoted individually. The tiers below are intended to set clear expectations around finish, process, and intent.

Typically includes:
Simple layouts and colour schemes

From £1250
Maximum detail. No compromises.
Show Paint is the highest tier and is reserved for projects where time, complexity, and finish take priority over speed or budget.
These helmets are nothing short of statement pieces.
Typically includes:
Complex airbrush artwork
Multi-layer designs and specialist finishes
Extended preparation and refinement
Flattened, refined, and fully polished surfaces
Significant time investment
Positioning:
Display-level finish
Branding projects, collectors, special commissions or just because you can.
Not rushed and not repeatable
This tier exists for clients who want the highest level of finish possible and understand the time involved in achieving it. This is art.
All helmet paintwork operates on a first-come, first-served queue basis.
When your helmet arrives, it is logged into the production queue
You are informed of your position in that queue
Work progresses transparently and in order
Once your helmet reaches the front of the queue and work begins, typical turnaround is approximately one week, depending on complexity and tier.
Where fixed deadlines are required, priority scheduling can be arranged by extending working hours rather than displacing existing jobs.
Deadline scheduling: £100
Emergency / short-notice scheduling: £250+
Priority work may involve evenings, weekends, or overnight sessions to meet required timeframes.
Specialist finishes such as pearls, candies, metallics, chromes, and matte lacquers require additional preparation, controlled application, and extended curing and finishing time. These processes are more labour-intensive, less forgiving, and often involve multiple stages to achieve consistency and durability. As a result, projects incorporating specialist finishes are priced accordingly and will sit above the base price for the relevant tier.
This guide exists to provide clarity and avoid misunderstandings.
All projects are quoted individually based on design, finish, and requirements.
If you are unsure which tier is appropriate for your project, guidance will be provided before any work begins.
